Before over-the-counter medications were available, valerian was used by herbalists to ease pain. Non-medicinal Ingredients

Recommended use
Traditionally used in herbal medicine to help relieve nervousness (calminative/sedative) and as a sleep aid to help promote sleep.
Recommended dose
Recommended adult dose: 1–2 capsules daily, taken 30 minutes to 1 hour before bedtime, or as directed by a health care practitioner.
Cautions
Consult a health care practitioner if sleeplessness persists continuously for more than 3 weeks (chronic insomnia). Consult a health care practitioner if symptoms persist or worsen.
